“Bow To Me” proclaimed The Architect of Find Me Event, and bow we did. In the weeks leading up to October 22, 2011 an Alternate Reality Game known as Find Me Event attracted more than 1200 concurrent viewers for over 5 hours straight using absolutely zero marketing dollars.
An ARG controlled by The Architect, a villain on a mission to make all reveal their dark secrets. By taking on online apprentices, The Architect began to draw the real world, into his world. At a bar in Queens known as The Rail, The Architect had his apprentices strike, abducting a target known as Dennis Morgan. 1 week later, a youtube video surfaced with Dennis Morgan, in the hands of The Architect. Reluctantly, he gave us a date, October 22.
The story continued, as new characters emerged, bringing us deeper into the narrative. Then… The date arrived, FindMeEvent.com went live with Dennis Morgan trapped inside a boat, floating in the dark, in an unknown body of water. The interaction levels hit their peak!
Players watched, typed in chat, used their social networking pages, and even called Dennis Morgan in a fury of attempts to determine his location and provide rescue.
Just over 5 hours later, he was found, and the Architect faded back into the dark world he emerged from.
